InsureandGo was set up by James Richardson and Perry Wilson in 2000 with the main aim of providing high quality travel insurance for low competitive prices, quickly and easily by phone and over the web too.

At the time, travel agents monopolised the sales of travel insurance as it seemed to consumers to be a quick and easy convenience to buy insurance at the same time as booking their holidays. For this reason, travel agents could charge exorbitant prices for less than adequate cover as there seemed to be no alternative.

We, however, were able to provide a quotation for travel insurance quickly and easily by asking three simple questions: the destination of travel, the dates of travel and the number of travellers. The customer could then be presented with a price for insurance which was competitive and which provided comprehensive cover.

Today, we still follow this ethos through and have grown massively since as a result. We now insure over 2 million customers every year and have picked up a large number of awards, including, most recently, Online Business of the Year at the Fast Growth Business Awards 2008.
