European countries remain the most popular destinations for Brits, according to recent research.
An increasing number of Brits will head to the eurozone this summer, as research shows that the area is set to remain the most popular destination for UK travellers in 2010, making
travel insurance a common purchase for travellers.
The research, conducted by First Rate Exchange Services, revealed that holiday costs have dropped, with prices in countries like Spain seeing cuts of up to 30 per cent.
Almost 22 million people are intending to visit countries across the eurozone this year, the study showed.
The foreign exchange service also suggested that 75 per cent of Brits exchange currency before they set off and 15 per cent of travellers still use traveller's cheques when going abroad.
Gordon Gourlay, managing director of First Rate, said: "Lower tourist prices across the eurozone are extremely good news for the millions of UK holidaymakers who are set to make to a return to traditional holiday destinations such as Spain and Portugal this year."
