Travel insurance could end up being a valuable purchase for Brits who take a DIY holiday that ends up going awry.
According to spokesperson Frances Tuke from ABTA -The Travel Association, DIY holidays - where people book all the elements of a break separately - could be a risk for holidaymakers.
She said that people should be careful to check what cover they will receive on such breaks, highlighting the need for
holiday insurance should problems occur.
"As a traveller, you do need to be aware of what you're booking" she urged.
Ms Tuke advised holidaymakers to book holidays on a credit card, [to receive payment protection], as well as thoroughly reading terms and conditions.
Travel insurance from
InsureandGo can help Brits stay protected against the financial cost of any issues which occur on a DIY holiday anywhere in the world.
