The upcoming Alicante Spring Festival provides a chance to rock to the beat of some modern music for holidaymakers heading to Spain.

Scheduled to take place on May 8th, the celebration of music and other art forms is due to be staged in the Volvo area of the sports marina of Alicante.

The itinerary is not limited only to music, as a variety of performances and animation sessions are also on the agenda.

However, for many people it could be the music that is the main attraction.

Anyone who has been to Spain's legendary clubbing scene could recognise performers such as Cesar Sanchez and Jose de Pablos.

The house and techno music is due to start at midday, leaving plenty of time for breakfast.

However, for those who are up late after a heavy night of clubbing, paella is also due to be served to festivalgoers, giving them the energy to embark on a fresh session of dancing to the beat.
