All-inclusive holidays offer travellers the opportunity to set out their budgets before taking a trip and help to keep additional expenses down, the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) has suggested.
Frances Tuke, spokesperson for the group, said that there has been an estimated 25 per cent increase in the number of people choosing all-inclusive trips in the past five years.
She attributed this rise not simply to such holidays being cheaper, but to the clarity they afford to those who are budgeting for their trip.
"You can budget totally upfront so you know exactly what you are paying for and all your essentials are covered in the upfront price," she commented.
She added that one example of the benefits of all-ins was a cost-effective way to take a Caribbean holiday.
According to youtravel.com, bookings for all-in breaks increased by 70 per cent during March and April, while self-catering holidays saw a 105 per cent increase over the same period.
