A survey from holiday firm Thomson has seen Benidorm come out on top in a poll of holidaymakers, with many going back for repeat trips.
The resort scooped a maximum five stars when people were asked to rate its atmosphere, food and drink, activities and entertainment.
Second most popular destination was Puerto San Miguel in Ibiza, with Marmaris in Turkey coming in as third favourite with British tourists.
Turkey fared well in the poll, with Icmeler and Altinkum coming in at sixth and seventh respectively.
