Brits who regularly jet off abroad could find that hitting their 30s gives them the best holidays of their life.

According to a survey from travel company Kuoni, 34 appears to be the optimum age for having the best holiday, reports the Telegraph.

In a poll of 1,000 people, more said their favourite trip had been when they were 34 than at any other age.

Martin Conway, a memory expert from the University of Leeds, commented to the newspaper that this could be to do with "nesting".

He said that 34 was the age that people are likely to either take their first holiday with children or enjoying their last breaks without children.

However, the Telegraph notes that a great holiday is more often that not about "where you go and who you go with".

Kuoni recently reported that today's tourists are looking for "personal fulfillment" on their breaks.

Travel insurance from InsureandGo is a great way to cover a holiday whatever your age.
