Brazil is hoping to attract more British tourists with a new £620,000 advertising campaign, according to reports.
It is hoped that the new marketing campaign, which is due to run until May, will raise the profile of the South American country as a great destination for British holidaymakers.
"Britain is a market of paramount importance to Brazil. For this reason, major efforts are underway to establish a strong partnership with the British trade," said Chris Fuzinatto, the department's UK & Ireland director.
The campaign consists of a series of posters and adverts which will feature on buses, tubes and trains in London, as well as advertising in national newspapers.
Mr Fuzinatto added: "Travel agents and operators should benefit from the campaign.
"Every time someone sees an advert it will tell them to call their travel agent."
