Those who are planning on getting travel insurance and jetting off for an exotic break could find that the South American destination of Brazil offers everything for a great trip away.

According to Tom Falcao, the general manager of the Brazilian tourist office in London, Brazil has risen in favour with travellers for a number of reasons.

He comments that the country has a good infrastructure for tourism, with facilities like hotels and food "very well organised".

Mr Falcao goes on to point out that there are a number of interesting sights which tourists can take in while visiting the country.

Such places of interest include the Amazon as well as two opera houses which are situated in the middle of the jungle.

Exotic locations such as Brazil are always popular with gap year trippers, who could find that backpacker insurance offers a low cost way for their break to be covered.

InsureandGo offers specific backpacker insurance for those planning on jetting off to Brazil or any other South American destination.
