British Airways finished the move of services to Terminal 5 last week, meaning that passengers will now be able to jet off to Dubai, Dhaka, Shanghai, Kolkata, Delhi and Chennai from Heathrow's newest terminal.

Opodo reports that several flights to the US and Canada were moved to the terminal, including transfers to Boston, Seattle, Denver, Calgary and Montreal.

Trips to Islamabad are currently not available following an incident in Pakistan, but when the flights resume they will go from Terminal 5.

A new terminal was recently opened at Dubai International Airport, the website reports.

Terminal 3 opened just over a week ago, with the first flight from the facility taking 136 passengers to Doha. Other flights on the opening day were to Kuwait, Bahrain and Riyadh.

Jamal Nasser Lootah, the executive director for industrial affairs at the United Arab Emirates' ministry of economy, was the first passenger to fly first class from the new terminal, Opodo reports.

Those planning to jet off from the new terminal should ensure they have the right travel insuranceto protect against unforeseen events.
