As the credit crunch continues, it appears that Brits are becoming more adventurous in their holiday choices, according to the Association of British Travel Agents.
When travelling to far-flung destinations, Brits may find that the climate or new and exciting food makes them feel under the weather, which means
holiday insurance to cover the cost of any treatment needed is essential.
Speaking at Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show, corporate manager of ABTA Steve Barnes said that Brits are widening their holiday horizons.
Recent figures from the Kuoni Longhaul Report show that countries such as Thailand and the Maldives were the most popular long haul destinations for British tourists in 2008.
Thailand also topped the poll of most affordable long haul locations for Brits to visit.
And with such savings to be had, tourists would be wise to use the cash left over to get a good
travel insurance policy.
InsureandGo offers a number of low price holiday insurance deals to suit any break, whether to a far-flung destination or closer to home.
