Brits are still unwilling to give up their holidays and are determined to get travel insurance and jet off to sunnier climates.

A survey from online holiday company Travelzoo has suggested that as many as 95 per cent of 6,000 European respondents said they are planning to go on holiday before the end of June this year.

People polled were from the UK, France, Spain and Germany.

According to the survey, more than 35 per cent say they will take two or more holidays within the next six months, meaning they will be frequently taking out travel insurance.

Brits will spend an average of £478 on their trip away, the website claims.

The survey also threw up some interesting facts about booking habits in different countries.

German and British holidaymakers book their holidays the furthest in advance, but Spanish travellers seem to wait until the last minute to grab the bargains.

InsureandGoholiday insurance can cover a trip whenever it is booked, giving holidaymakers the reassurance that any incidents are covered.
