Telecommunications company BT is looking to secure new broadband customers this year - and those who get online in 2009 could find that computer insurance is a good purchase.

Computer insurance can help to cover against repairs to damaged machines, which could otherwise be costly to homeowners and cause problems financially.

Industry experts from Broadband-Finder.co.uk say that BT Broadband will be hoping to attract new customers with its Total Broadband package.

The deal offers a free hub and money off certain bills to people who sign up for any of three different options.

Figures published by Ofcom in December last year show that the number of residential and small and medium enterprise broadband connections rose last year.

According to the data, the number of people with connections went up by more than 400,000 during the second quarter of 2008.

Computer insurance from InsureandGo can help cover against any damages and make sure people are back online as soon as possible.
