To celebrate Easter weekend, the Belgian city of Bruges is hosting its second annual Chocolate Festival between March 6th and 10th.
Building upon the success of last year's event, the festival will see a record number of manufacturers and suppliers visit the city to demonstrate their skills and compete in the various chocolate craft contests.
As well as numerous tasting opportunities, tourists in Bruges over the Easter weekend can also visit the Choco-story museum and learn about the history of chocolate and how it is manufactured today.
A designated World Heritage site, the city of Bruges attracts tourists throughout the year, with visitors drawn to its stunning and tranquil medieval centre as well as its fine restaurant scene.
In addition, regular direct rail services from London make Bruges the ideal destination for a simple weekend away.
While visitors to the Chocolate Festival should feel free to let themselves go and indulge in the creative confectionary on offer, they should be sure to have adequate insurance in place before travelling.
