According to new research, business travellers are becoming increasingly worried about flight delays.

The poll conducted by TripAdvisor found that over half of those asked thought delays were the biggest hassle they currently faced in their travels, a slight increase from the 48 per cent figure the year before, travelmole.co.uk has reported.

And about a third of those surveyed said that recent airline delays and cancellations will affect their future business travels.

This is why more British business travellers are likely to try other forms of travel and go by train.

Twenty-seven per cent of business travellers asked said they would consider the train as an alternative, a substantial difference with the overall proportion of nine per cent.

Twelve per cent wanted to consider driving and a growing proportion was considering videoconferencing, the research further revealed.

The survey was carried out on over 1,500 business travellers worldwide and found that just over 62 per cent were 'often' satisfied with the service offered in business class.
