Three prominent UK motorcycle organisations have banded together to urge British bikers to vote in the forthcoming General Election.
The Motorcycle Action Group, the British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF) and the Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCI) have launched the Riders are Voters campaign in order to ensure the voices of UK motorcyclists are heard.
BMF's Chris Hodder said: "The big changes expected at the next election mean that now could be the best time in decades to let those who want our votes know where we really stand."
UK motorcyclists should remember that having valid bike insurance is a legal requirement for travelling on the country's roads.
Elsewhere, research carried out by the MCI revealed that motorcyclists are half as likely to drink and drive as other road users.
It found that 1.4 per cent of motorcyclists failed a breathalyser test following an accident last year; this was compared to 2.7 per cent of all road users.
