Brits looking for a holiday home destination could find Croatia ideal, it has been suggested.
And when buying a holiday pad, people should not forget to make sure they have
home insurance for their property, especially if it is to be empty for part of the year.
New legislation recently introduced in the country now means it is as easy for foreigners to buy property as it is for locals.
Now, Brits will not have to apply to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and can "just come and buy".
According to the Croatian National Tourist Board (CNTB), there are around 70,000 foreigners who own property in the country.
Director of the CNTB Meri Matesic said that the housing market in Croatia was in "a great state" when compared to the UK.
Annual multi trip insurance may be a good buy for those who regularly jet off to a holiday home.
