A new study has found that in spite of a clean driving sheet and a squeaky clean on-screen persona, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe could pay as much as 508 per cent more than Pete Doherty for his
car insurance policy.
The Confused.com report has found that although the troubled Babyshambles front man has a string of drug and driving-related offences, a policy to cover his X-Type Jaguar may cost as much as £3,451 less than Radcliffe's premium for his Fiat Punto.
Debra Williams, managing director of Confused.com, says: "It is frustrating that Daniel Radcliffe, who owns a modest car and lives a 'clean' lifestyle, is expected to pay a high price for his car insurance, just because he is under the age of 25 and living in London."
She adds that by making sure he stays within the speed limit and keeps a clean driving license over the next few years, his prudent lifestyle choices will eventually be reflected in his insurance premium.
A number of recent reports have suggested that Pete Doherty will star in a new reality TV show which helps teens with drug habits beat their addictions.
