Property that is attractive to investors in the US will not remain available for long, it has been claimed.

Annette Reeve, director at Mayfair International Realty, said there remains a potential for further falls in the market in the US. However, this is not putting off potential investors who are swooping to purchase quality properties.

She commented: "Certainly, quality, affordable, nice property in a nice part of Florida will not be staying on the market nearly as long as it was."

Therefore, Brits looking to invest in an overseas property might like to consider annual multi trip insurance to reduce the cost of frequent trips abroad.

According to the US Federal Housing Finance Agency, seasonally-adjusted US house prices increased by 0.7 per cent between October and November last year.

Furthermore, the organisation released data showing that average house prices in the US rose by 0.5 per cent in 2009, but remain 10.3 per cent below their peak of April 2007.

InsureandGo offers annual multi trip insurance for frequent travellers.
