Paris, Rome, the Canary Islands, Egypt and South Africa will all be popular tourist destinations this Easter, according to a spokesperson from Thomas Cook.
City breaks are always popular, she advised, but added that for those with a family, Tenerife and Lanzarote would also be ideal destinations.
"Disneyland Paris is also a key choice especially with Eurostar's recent move to St Pancras making it more accessible throughout the UK," she stated.
Monte Carlo, Lisbon, Madrid and Seville will also be premier places for those looking for a sun-drenched holiday.
She also advised that Easter sees a rise in the number of short breaks as well as longer-haul flights to places further afield like South Africa and Thailand.
She encouraged people to book their holidays early to avoid disappointment, as many more people will be travelling to take advantage of the school holidays.
It is also advisable to book
travel insurance ahead of time to ensure adequate cover.
InsureandGo offers a range of competitive
travel insurance policies to provide cover whatever the destination.
