The national tourism board of Peru plans to increase awareness of the country's historic, cultural and tourist attractions through a range of travel trade events.
PromPeru intends to allow a range of tour operators from the country to make presentations and increase tourist awareness of the services they offer.
Asia and Oceania market coordinator for PromPeru Angela Maric explains to TravelMole that the country has a range of natural attractions such as the Andes, the Amazon jungle and a "spectacular" coastline.
"Peru is experiencing an eco-tourism boom," she notes.
Ms Maric adds that the country's history spans more than 10,000 years, combining modern cultures with ancient traditions.
Tourist attractions in Peru include the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, the city of Cuzco and Lake Titicaca, the highest lake in the world, which is shared between the country and Bolivia.
