More UK holidaymakers are changing their holiday plans to include fewer traditional destinations, one travel expert has claimed, instead choosing the Asia Pacific region for their trips.
But Brits should always make sure they obtain a suitable level of
holiday insurance cover no matter where they plan to take their break.
Head of product marketing at Expedia Jonathan Cudworth said that there has been "good growth in demand" for holidays to Thailand.
He said this was down to people looking for cheaper holidays that make their money go further.
Also, the Thai government has recently scrapped the fees which usually accompanied an application for a tourist visa, tempting even more travellers to the region.
Brits may be wise to get all their paperwork - such as the visa and holiday insurance - at the same time to ensure they have all the correct documents.
Holiday insurance from
InsureandGo is a low-cost way for Brits to cover the cost of a trip to Thailand or any other Asian destination.
