Consumers planning a trip as 2008 begins may have a fight on their hands, if an initiative by Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is anything to go by.
Those travellers booking online are able to take part in virtual pillow and water fights while they make their accommodation arrangements.
In the pillow fight, the consumer's computer cursor is connected to a pillow, allowing them to engage in an online tussle with up to four other guests in a Sheraton hotel room.
Water fights takes place in a swimming pool where users are able to use their computer mouse to splash each other with cyber water.
The scheme was developed in order to aid the brand's aims to allow people to interact while they travel, the firm explains.
Sheraton is part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, which includes brands such as Le Meridien, St Regis and Westin.
