The French Riviera offers a plethora of five-star hotels and accommodation, making it an ideal destination for Brits looking for luxury, it has been claimed.
Florence Lecointre, international press officer for the French Riviera Tourist Board, said there are 16 five-star hotels and bed and breakfasts in the exclusive region, with many other attractions set to get pulses racing, including yacht and boat hire, as well as fine dining and gorgeous weather.
She commented: "You can spend one day in Nice to visit the museums and walk through the markets then the day after you can go by train or bus to go to Cannes or to the mountains or to Monaco and the bus costs only 1 [£0.91] each way."
According to figures published by the Nice Convention and Visitors Bureau, the city's airport is the second most popular airport in France after Paris, with ten million passengers a year, connecting to 80 destinations in 29 countries.
Furthermore, the Riviera receives ten million tourists per year and Nice is the most popular cruising port in France.
