France is still a popular destination among UK tourists taking camping holidays, according to Eurocamp.
Ruth Start, head of sales and marketing at the company, said that it remains a popular choice among travellers.
"It is easily accessible from the UK and remains a camping legacy in terms of being the original camping destination for Brits," she added.
She also revealed Eurocamp's most popular parks based in France, with the Garangeoire site in Vendee proving the most widely visited.
The Vendee region is about the size of Cornwall and is home to over 400 classified campsites.
Brittany also proved popular among UK campers, with both the Beg Meil and Arzano sites making the list.
Gascany and Dordogne also proved to be popular regions with Labenne and Le Buge noted for attracting a high number of visitors.
Ms Start said that camping holidays were both beneficial for the environment and enjoyable for holidaymakers, allowing them to get "back to nature and really explore the outdoors".
