Germany 'top spot for meetings'

Germany has been identified as the top European country for locating events, meetings and conventions.

Figures from the European Institute for the Meetings Industry has suggested that the country's reputation for quality infrastructure and attractions as well as language skills, security and services.

With some 6,000 venues, Germany provides a wide range of different meeting locations, such as theatre-style lecture rooms and smaller function rooms.

The country is also set to introduce a range of new venues in cities including Stuttgart, Dusseldorf and Darmstadt, which may solidify its position as the premier convention location in Europe, reports 4Hoteliers.

Some 46 exhibition meeting and urban museum locations will open on November 3rd for the Cologne Night of Museums.
