A spokesperson for the Hawaii Tourism Authority said the strength sterling has gained against the US dollar in recent months has meant a luxury getaway in Hawaii has now become more affordable for many people.
She commented: "Hawaii is still a dream destination for Brits - especially for honeymooners who make up more than 25 per cent of all Brits travelling there."
According to research recently carried out by the Association of International Travel Operators in partnership with Wanderlust, Brits are more positive about their travel plans for the year ahead than they were in 2009.
It noted 83 per cent of respondents are planning to take at least the same number of trips or more in the coming 12 months as they did last year.
