Holidaymakers as concerned about the environment as they are about getting
travel insurance could be interested to learn of a UK holiday park praised for its green work.
Kelling Heath holiday park in Norfolk has scooped an award from conservationist David Bellamy to mark its efforts towards sustainable tourism.
Judges from the British Holiday & Home Parks Association praised the site for its eco-friendly shower block.
The block has saved almost 120,000 litres of water since it was installed a year ago.
And due to this, it is thought that the block may have stopped as much as 5,739 kg of carbon dioxide from being released.
The shower block uses harvested rainwater and solar panels for hot water and electricity.
General manager of the park Mark Durrant said that the park was aiming to give "an unbeatable holiday experience" while also "preserving the glorious environment" in the area.
Mr Bellamy said that the park's work is "truly innovative".
