Taking out
travel insurance and heading off on holiday could be one of the best ways of maintaining focus and staying fresh at work.
Mike Petrook, a spokesperson for the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), said that it is important for those in employment to take regular holidays in order to keep on top of their work and to keep up their energy levels.
He commented: "Holidays are vital because what they do is they refresh your energy and they enable you to refocus."
Research carried out by CMI revealed that four out of ten British managers have not yet booked any summer holidays, while 51 per cent of workers claim to check work emails and 44 per cent check voicemails while on leave.
The statistics showed that 20 per cent blamed excessive workloads for their inability to take time off, while 33 per cent said they would rather exchange their holiday entitlement for cash.
