After being visited by nearly 23 million people during the first ten months of 2007, Hong Kong's tourist sector is close to having a record year.
Data from Hong Kong Tourism Board indicates that in the ten-month period ending in October, 22,931,804 visitors entered the region.
This number is a rise of more than ten per cent on the same period in 2006.
Last year saw a total of 25.25 million people visit the region, a figure that looks to be surpassed by the end of 2007 if the visitor rate remains the same.
Attractions in the city include Wong Tai Sin Temple, the Hong Kong Museum of Art, Happy Valley Racecourse and the Lan Kwai Fong district.
