A hotline established so that drivers could report the bad behaviour of other motorists in Sussex has been deemed a success, local press reports.
Newspaper the Argus wrote that since the hotline and a sister website were both introduced at the end of August of this year, 200 reports have been made on drivers being drunk, anti-social or aggressive.
Some drivers were also reported as talking on their mobile phones while behind the wheel, or for speeding.
'We didn't realise how productive it would be. Operation Crackdown will play a key part in reducing the numbers killed and seriously injured on the road,' said superintendent Paul Morrison, head of the Sussex police road policing unit.
