Indonesia has changed its latest tourism campaign motto after admitting that the slogan was grammatically incorrect.
Aeroplanes belonging to the national airline, billboards and governmental websites have had the phrase "Visit Indonesia 2008. Celebrating 100 Years of Nation's Awakening'' written on them.
Thamrin Bachri, director general for marketing at the Indonesian ministry of culture and tourism, told the Jakarta Post: "We have been advised by several people to change the slogan."
In order to be grammatically correct, the definite article "the" or possessive pronoun "our" should precede the words "Nation's Awakening" - or that noun "Nation" should be replaced with the adjective "national", explains the Associated Press.
Consumers planning a trip to Indonesia may enjoy established attractions such as Krakatau Volcano, the Buddhist monument Borobudur and the Pura Tanah Lot sea temple, reports Whatsonwhen.
