It's snow joke at the Eiffel Tower this Christmas

Consumers visiting Paris over the festive period will have the opportunity to take part in a high-altitude snow trek, it has been announced.

Those who choose to visit the Eiffel Tower while in the French capital over Christmas will be offered a pair of snow shoes as a coat of artificial snow will cover the first of the structure's three floors.

Due to be around eight to 12 inches deep, the fake snowdrift will be located some 125 ft above the ground, according to Agence France-Presse.

The snow shoes will be offered free of charge to any tourist over the age of four as part of a photographic exhibition on the North and South Poles, which will run from December 19th to the 31st.

For those who wish to stay at ground level, other attractions in the city include the Moulin Rouge Cabaret and Notre Dame cathedral.
