Jade Goody's attempt to save her ailing career has been upstaged by Hollywood belle Scarlett Johansson, who shunned the Oscars to visit poor schoolchildren in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
After Goody was publicly lambasted for her treatment of fellow housemate and Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, she decided seek forgiveness for her behaviour on Celebrity Big Brother by personally visiting India and donating £25,000 to underprivileged children.
But as 22-year-old Johansson danced with pupils at an Oxfam-funded school, Goody went for the hands off approach and called a press conference to publicise her charity from a five star luxury hotel in New Delhi.
However, Jade may overcome her current troubles in India's third largest city by visiting some of its stunning religious centres such as the Qutab Minar mosque, where she can tap into nearly 900 years of spiritual harmony.
The streets of New Delhi are famed for being a labyrinth of monuments and forts, some of the most spectacular are situated in the Imperial City, which features breathtaking architecture of the British Raj.
