Anyone looking to take out
travel insurance and visit a warm and welcoming country has been advised to make plans to stay in Jordan.
Sa'ed Zawaideh, the regional marketing coordinator for the Jordan Tourism Board, said the country has all the elements needed to make time spent there a relaxing and enjoyable experience for tourists.
He commented: "The people are welcoming of foreigners, it's within our traditions, so people are always welcoming tourists or any guests that come to the country or to their houses."
Mr Zawaideh added that the most important thing to many Jordanians is the welcome they offer to visitors, ensuring all travellers have a pleasing and happy stay.
According to a recent survey by Wanderlust and the Association of Independent Travel Operators, many travellers are more positive about the number of trips they plan to take abroad this year.
It found 83 per cent of respondents intend to take at least the same number of trips or more in the year ahead, up from 77 per cent in May 2009.
