Merseyside Police has issued a travel warning to Liverpool football fans flying over to Athens to see the Reds play in the final of the Champions League next week.
Liverpool, who knocked out Chelsea to go on to play AC Milan in the final, will play on Wednesday May 23rd.
Fans heading to Athens are being advised to arrive early at Liverpool John Lennon Airport and are also encouraged to fly without hand luggage in order to speed up the boarding process.
Those who insist on carrying hand luggage are advised to ensure they do not carry sharp items or liquids.
Reds fans are also reminded that they will not be allowed to travel should they be intoxicated.
Chief superintendent Dave Lewis said: "All of the tickets for the match have now been allocated and I'd advise anyone without a ticket not to travel."
He added: "The atmosphere at the stadium will be amazing, so go along early and make it an occasion to remember.
"Liverpool supporters have an excellent track record for their behaviour. I'm confident that this will continue and I'd ask all supporters to be on their best behaviour and be mindful of the fact they are ambassadors for the city and the club."
