Adventure insurance may be a wise investment for those planning to join the crowds of Brits who flock to France on skiing breaks each year.

Brits account for the majority of skiers in both the Alps and the Pyrenees in France, it has been noted.

Director of the French government tourist office Maison de la France Jean-Pierre Courteau said: "We have 400,000 British skiers in France."

He went on to comment on the quality of the ski season which has just passed, saying there was a lot of snow.

It was widely reported that some places in Europe saw their largest snow fall for 30 years, which led to skiers flocking to the continent for a break.

However, it may not be just thrill-seeking winter sports fans who travel to France, as Mr Courteau noted that the country boasts many camping sites.

Adventure insurance from InsureandGo covers 40 activities as standard, meaning it may be a wise investment for those planning on taking to the slopes this year.
