Many people may mistakenly believe they do not get their recommended daily amount of exercise, it has been claimed.
Features editor at Zest Elin Tough said many Brits could be achieving 30 minutes of exercise every day simply by going about their daily routines.
She commented: "People are mistakenly categorising exercise as having to get into their gym kit and jog around the park or slog it out at the gym and underestimating incidental exercise."
Ms Tough noted most people probably do meet the minimum target simply by walking to and from the train station, or by stepping out for lunch.
According to the British Heart Foundation, nearly three quarters of Brits (74 per cent) consider themselves to be unhealthy.
It found that 93 per cent of people admitted to having at least one health sin, while 44 per cent claimed they are "too busy" to exercise and 27 per cent kid themselves about how much exercise they actually do in order to feel better.
