The Mazda MX-5 is this year celebrating the 20th anniversary of its launch.
In commemoration of this milestone, the company is launching a new model MX-5 and MX-5 Roadster Coupe, which are both available in showrooms now.
Anyone interested in purchasing a new MX-5 should remember to take out
car insurance prior to doing so, as failing to have cover in place is illegal.
Prices for the new models range from £16,345 to £21,695 on the road, with new features including greater fuel economy, lower CO2 emissions and the debut of the company's new Powershift six-speed sequential paddle-shift transmission.
Mazda UK's managing director Jeremy Thomson commented: "Over the last 20 years, more than 94,000 Mazda MX-5 models have found homes in the UK and I'm positive the 2009 model will continue this unprecedented success."
In other news, Renault recently announced the launch of three new vehicles - the Clio World Series, Megane Hatch World Series and Megane Coupe World Series.
The cars are to be unveiled at Silverstone on the weekend of July 4th-5th and will be available in showrooms across the UK from July 6th.
