Monkey business in India

A South Korean tourist has filed a complaint against a monkey in the Indian city of Varanasi, it has been reported.

Kim Dang Hoon explains that he was in his hotel room in the Hindu holy city when the animal came in through the open window and stole his glasses.

Part of the glasses frame was recovered by hotel staff and Mr Kim said that he filed the report so that he can claim on his travel insurance policy, according to the Associated Press.

Commenting on the incident, investigating officer Govind Singh explained: "It is difficult to trace the monkey, but I am trying my best to locate the rogue."

Established tourist attractions in the city of Varanasi include the Kashi Viswanath temple and Gyanvapi Mosque.
