Annual multi trip insurance could be an important purchase for many Brits after it was revealed more people are choosing to buy homes in the US.
Deane Roe, from Moneycorp, said the number of Britons purchasing US property has grown by 23 per cent over the last six months, with particular interest being shown in the $30,000 (£18,160) to $100,000 price range.
He commented: "This increase directly correlates with the pound's improved performance against the dollar, with a noticeable pickup in clients buying US dollars once the rate moved above the [£1.50 to $1] level."
According to the US census bureau and the department of housing and urban development, seasonally-adjusted sales of new US houses in October 2009 stood at 430,000 - up by 6.2 per cent from September 2009 and by 5.1 per cent compared to October 2008.
Furthermore, the median sale price for new houses was $212,200 in October 2009, while the average sale price was $261,100.
Britons could make savings by taking out annual multi trip insurance if they are planning frequent trips abroad to visit property.
