The country is set to offer 80,000 more beds for tourists by 2010, as part of a government plan, according to Reuters.
But for those eager to escape the UK weather and travel sooner rather than later, the Mediterrania Saidia resort could be an option.
The resort - which boasts nine hotels - has recently been completed, the news agency reports.
According to the resort's website, it includes a shopping complex, three 18-hole golf courses and a marina large enough to accommodate 740 boats.
It says the area is "paradise", with white sandy beaches, "all the facilities you could ever need" and "exotic, exclusive and cultural ambience".
