Niabi Zoo in The Quad Cities (Illinois) welcomed three new reticulated giraffes in June, which are set to be exhibited to the public.
The giraffes will get to meet their fans for the first time on Saturday July 14th.
They were flown from all over the country: Twiga, a one year old female, comes from south Florida; Mimi, a three year old female, from Omaha; and Kenya, a one year old male hails fro California.
The giraffes were given some time to adjust to their surroundings and meet their newest family members.
Forming part of a new Passport to Africa exhibition, the giraffes will be shown to visitors alongside lions, zebras and ostrich from this July.
Through the use of a tall platform, the zoo will allow its visitors to watch the animals while they are being fed.
Niabi Zoo owns more than 900 animals from 160 different species.
The site where the zoo is housed covers 40 acres, with an additional 200 acres currently being reserved for native flora and fauna preservation.
