Older motorists are being invited to take part in refresher courses to brush up on their driving skills.
The courses, which are the brainchild of Powys Council's road safety arm, are aimed at reducing the number of accidents on the region's roads through targeting those over the age of 55, reports the BBC.
In addition, it is hoped that passing the course may have a positive impact on motor insurance premiums.
It is hoped that bad habits that have been ingrained after years' of driving will be ironed out on the course and that those older drivers who are nervous on the roads will have their confidence restored.
"It is important for all drivers to maintain and develop their driving skills," said councillor Gwilym Evans.
"It is easy to pick up bad driving habits over time. This scheme will help highlight both good and the bad and give advice to help us drive safely as we age," he concluded.
