Budget airline operator Ryanair has announced that it will release one million free plane seats online for travel throughout April if its horse wins at Cheltenham on Thursday afternoon.
Mossbank, as the horse is known, is the 3/1 favourite to win at the Ryanair chase event tomorrow and if he wins, Ryanair will give away the free flights until midnight on Monday 17th.
Speaking today, Ryanair's Peter Sherrard said that 25,000 people would be flying to watch the Cheltenham races using its services, making this its busiest year ever.
"To say thanks we will give 44 million (£33 million) worth of flights away for free if the Ryanair horse comes first," he continued.
No charges, taxes or duties will be placed on the flights and a nominal 1p booking fee is fully refundable on request for those able to get a flight in the event of Mossbank winning.
Every year, the Cheltenham festival attracts around 230,000 people, with over £500 million worth of bets on the historic sporting event.
