An increasing number of Britons are seeking adventure while they are still young, new research reveals.
A study by Year Out Group found that Africa was becoming an increasingly popular gap year and career break hotspot, the Daily Telegraph reports.
The study also revealed a trend towards gap years among the over-25s, rather than just those who take a break before going to university.
Chief executive of the company Richard Oliver told the newspaper: "A lot of 28 to 35-year-olds, some who work in particularly high-pressure jobs and with the prospect of children, are deciding to do what they want to before they run out of time."
And it doesn't even have to be for a whole year. The study revealed that more and more Britons are choosing to go on a 'gap month' or sabbatical.
