Annual multi-trip insurance policy holders may want to schedule a holiday to Pulsano in Puglia for the Holy Week of Easter.

The community has one of the events that typically proves popular with tourists, in the form of the Procession of the Mysteries.

Scheduled to take place at 15:30 local time on Good Friday, April 2nd, this centres on the Church of the Purgatory, Puglia's tourism portal advises.

The previous day at 17:00 local time, the Pilgrimage of the Perduni offers an extra chance to see Holy Week festivities for people arriving early.

Here, the members of the Confraternity shed their shoes and don their hoods as they make their way to the Mother Church.

For people who hold annual multi-trip insurance, a visit outside of Holy Week could be a good idea.

Pulsano's heritage dates back to the 14th century BC, with the Gulf of Taranto's only known Bronze Age settlement found there, so there is plenty of history and heritage to take in.
