A tourism department in the Indian city of Jaipur has launched a road and rail tour programme that takes in a range of attractions within the region, it has been reported.
The package - arranged by Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation - includes coach and train journeys across the Rajasthan region, the Hindu asserts.
Director of Tamil Nadu Tourism M Rajaram told the publication that tourist numbers in the region were increasing, with 2006 showing a growth of 21 per cent.
Open to groups of up to 30 tourists, the scheme will run once a month - twice during December - and will include trips to wildlife sites, temples and monuments.
