Rail links to cities in Europe will remain popular with holidaymakers during the economic downturn, it has been claimed.
Brits who fancy a trip to the continent could find Eurostar, which goes to Brussels and Paris, ideal and quick.
Media relations manager at Rail Europe Amanda Monroe said that crossing borders was "made simpler" on a train than a plane.
And to lower the chance of stress still further, Brits should make sure their
holiday insurance is valid and up to date before setting off.
Passenger numbers on Eurostar broke the nine million barrier in January this year, which represents a 10.3 per cent increase in the number of people who used it when compared to figures from 2008.
Eurostar recently returned to running at full capacity after operating on a reduced timetable following a fire in the Channel Tunnel last year.
Holiday insurance from
InsureandGo can cover a trip taken anywhere in the world, by rail or by air.
