A range of five-star hotels are to be launched by rap entrepreneur Jay-Z, it has been reported.
The hip hop artist recently bought a piece of land in Manhattan, New York, for some $66 million (£33 million), which will be the location of the flagship hotel.
Furthermore, the possibility exists to expand the chain, which will be named J Hotels, across the USA.
Ronald Solarz, the estate agent who closed the deal, explains: "West 22nd Street, between 10th and 11th Avenue, is arguably the heart and soul of the West Chelsea High Line district and is a perfect location for an upscale life style-oriented five-star hotel."
Jay-Z is the former president and chief executive of Def Jam Recordings
